Sick for a month

when I look back and think, why didn't I write anything for an entire month?  Because I have been sick, then Olivia was sick, then Harper was sick, then Olivia was sick again and then I was sick again and Harper is STILL sick. whew. Oh, even Lola is being treated for some crazy never-going-away ear infection.   Somehow Jon has skipped out on all of this lovely germ sharing going on around here...oh yeah, because he is hardly home!!  Well today things are finally looking up, or clearing up and not-congested. yay!!  All female members of the Koepke household are on anti-biotics. We have a morning and evening meds line-up.  Its so wonderful to be coming out of the oppressive fog that is being at home 24/7 with sicky kids.  Don't get me wrong, I love my girls, but I do not love being isolated from the outside world!  I missed a lot of play dates to stay home and protect the general public from the contagious virus that was slowly taking over my family.  Well, we are back, I don't know how long it will last, but I am so excited to be feeling good again!  Poor little Harper is still coughing, but I can tell she is improving.  Poor second born, getting her fair share of preschool germs earlier than she wants, but hopefully it will just toughen up her immune system for later in life!

happy girl!!

this is the image that best symbolizes our month!  Jon and I simultaneously trying to cover Olivia's cough from  going on the cake!

Somehow in the month of sickness, Olivia managed to be feeling pretty good for the week of her Birthday.  I can't believe she is FOUR!!  I know I say that every year, but time will always feel like it is flying by when February 11th roles around.  We had lots of celebrating.  She had a Birthday party at Bouncetown with her neighborhood friends the Wednesday before her Birthday, then she celebrated at school on Friday, and then we had a small family celebration on Saturday to celebrate her real Birthday.  She received lots of fun toys and some fashionable new clothes.  We are so lucky to have such great family and friends to celebrate with!!

time for bed, the next post will have to be about Harper and all of her latest and greatest achievements (although still no roll over!)
